Last time I went to Penang I booked a room at 75 Travellers’ Lodge, someone told me about it. It is a hostel located on 75 Lebuh Muntri and offers, besides dormitory beds for 7 RM, decent single and double rooms. Friendly owner and clean place. Prices for a single are 18 Rm at the top.
